Recent advances in minimally invasive anterior and posterior now allow a retroperitoneal minimally invasive access to all regions of the lumbar and thoracic spine.
These new technologies are demanding and complication management within these techniques is particularly challenging. In recognition of the training need, NSpine has built on the foundation of the previous complications management course and combined this with dedicated access and live tissue training.
This course will therefore focus on cadaveric minimally invasive axis training with a focus on lateral and anterior approaches to the spine, expanding these to full open approaches and then conducting the procedures during the live tissue component of the event which focuses more strongly on the complications management which includes vascular and visceral repair.
The expert faculty consists of highly experienced spine surgeons and a panel of vascular, thoracic, and urological surgeons to help master the complications management strategies.
