NSpine Anterior Spine Surgery Complications Management & Endoscopy Courses
Rio De Janeiro | 26 - 27 May 2025

Welcome to the Welcome to the new Complications in Anterior Spine Surgery & Endoscopic Live Tissue Course in the vibrant city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, taking place on the 26 and 27th of May 2025 at the IRCAD.

This intensive course is designed for surgeons performing anterior and lateral procedures on the lumbar spine, but who are not completely confident in managing access related complications.
Anterior and lateral spine procedures have become fundamental techniques in reconstructive spine surgery.
The potential for complications is however significant and training opportunities rare. To meet genuine surgeon demand NSpine has therefore created a live tissue model which allows the closest possible simulation to actual surgery and complications handling.

For the endoscopic modules, this course is designed for surgeons with an early experience of spine endoscopy, to advance their knowledge through expert tuition in a live tissue model.

Event Details:

Date: 26th (Group 1) and 27th (Group 2) May 2025

Venue: IRCAD Rio, Rio de Janeiro - Brazil

For the complications management course, delegates will be guided through open anterior approaches to the lumbar spine and will learn critical mobilisation of vascular and visceral structures. Complications control, salvage and repair techniques are taught for venous, arterial and ureteric injuries. Optionally, thoracolumbar approaches can be added with complications management of pulmonary structures.

A dedicated session on case discussions and technical tips and tricks rounds off the event. In advance of the course delegates will receive access to the acclaimed online modules of eccElearning.

For the Endoscopy courses, delegates will be guided through a variety of transforaminal techniques and will learn critical nerve root mobilisation as well as dural manipulation and bleeding control. A dedicated session on case discussions and technical tips and tricks rounds off the event. In advance of the course delegates will receive access to the acclaimed online endoscopy learning modules of eccElearning.

Training is conducted by international expert faculty renowned for their contributions to the field of anterior and lateral spine surgery. Throughout the course, faculty members will engage with delegates to ensure that the learning goals are tailored to their specific needs and interests.

This personalised approach allows for a more focused and effective learning experience, ensuring that each participant leaves with a deeper understanding and enhanced capabilities in complications management.

Course Structure: Delegates will receive customised half day of hands-on live tissue training and a half day of theory and case discussions. Additionally, they will be provided prior to the event with a series of preparatory lectures through our partners at eccElearning.
